Pediatric Sleep Consultant Advanced Program
Program Overview
Pediatric Sleep Consultants (also known as Child Sleep Consultants, Baby Sleep Consultants, Baby Sleep Coaches, and Infant Sleep Coaches) are people with various backgrounds who help families struggling with behavioral childhood sleep problems. They are good listeners with solid communication skills, and they are passionate about helping others.
Families turn to the Child Sleep Consultant for a wide range of sleep issues: frequent night wakings, short naps, early morning wakings, resisting falling asleep, nightmares, moving to a separate room, and many others. Sleep consultants help children achieve healthy sleep and advise parents on how to solve various behavioral sleep problems.
Although pediatric sleep consultants are not medical providers, pediatricians often refer families to them when children need some type of individualized sleep coaching. These consultants fill the need for educated professionals who can solve most behavioral sleep problems with children.
Career Paths
Millions of families need support and guidance to help their children sleep better. Our program will help you learn all the needed skills to become a successful Pediatric Sleep Consultant.
Are you looking for a career transformation? Or maybe you are just searching for a part-time role for added income? Our program is created for everyone. We deliver knowledge in clear, accessible terms, enabling you to confidently step into this new role!
This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to make a real difference. Improve children's sleep, bring relief to families. No matter who you are, this path is open to you.
A certification in Pediatric Sleep Consulting is also suitable for professionals who have a background in related fields, such as midwives, nurses, lactation consultants, child care professionals, preschool teachers, and child psychologists. Our program helps these professionals extend their knowledge of child sleep and learn new approaches for solving behavioral childhood sleep problems. In this way, they can add value to their patients or clients.
Program Duration
This is a self-paced distance learning program. You can take all of the classes from the comfort of your home.
It typically takes about 6 month to complete the program if you study 6-8 hours per week.
This certification is not an online badge or a certificate you can obtain in a hurry. The Pediatric Sleep Consultant Advanced Program certificate indicates to parents that you have invested in a robust training program, one that is grounded in credible practices and methods. In a field where the first thing parents often look for is trust, having a recognized certification shows you are serious and committed to your role as a sleep consultant.
Expected Income
The average price for a single 90-minute consultation ranges from $200 to $500, depending on the consultant's experience and location.
Online consulting with follow-up calls (for 1 family) costs between $800 and $1,500. It can include:
- Sleep consultation: a 90-minute virtual call
- Personalized sleep plan: it takes about 2 hours to create the plan
- 4 weeks (on average) of Q&A support (virtual via FB Messenger / Snapchat / WhatsApp/ Viber) - 10-20 mins per day answering additional questions or adapting the personalised sleep plan according to the child’s needs.
How much should you charge as a consultant ? How many families can you help per month? This is your business and it will be your decision to make.
